Manchester United claimed a crucial but nervy 1-0 win over Everton courtesy of Javier Hernandez's first half goal in their Premier League clash at Goodison Park.
Hernandez struck from close range in the 19th minute to net the game's solitary goal and, despite an unconvincing second half display, United clung on to clinch all three points.
It was a vital victory for Sir Alex Ferguson's side, who closed the gap on leaders Manchester City as a result while Everton were left to feel aggrieved for a late penalty not being awarded in their favour.
